The elementary schools provide instruction for students in grades K-6. Academic excellence begins in our elementary schools. The acquisition of language arts and mathematics skills is the core of the elementary curriculum with children being placed at levels commensurate with their ability, implementing a continuous progress model. Opportunities for students to develop their capability to think, communicate, problem solve, and make reasoned decisions pervade the elementary curriculum. Reading, spelling, literature, written expression, mathematics, computer literacy, science, social studies, health, physical education, art and music are all given appropriate attention in grades K through 12.
