Children come to us with great promise.
That promise
—the hope and mystery of what can be—
is, for a very special time,
in our hands.

Parenting Minds is a unique LOSD class focused on teaching parents how to improve the thinking strategies and knowledge acquisition abilities of their children.

One of the goals of LOSD enrichment programs like Scholars’ Alliance and Parenting Minds is advantaging our children.  The advantages that Parenting Minds can provide are opportunities for parents to

  1. make a significant difference in the development of their children’s cognitive abilities, including problem-solving.
  2. help children improve academically by assisting them in the development of their thinking strategies and knowledge acquisition and application abilities.
  3. teach effective ways to help their children build a more positive and productive sense of self awareness, self-concept, self-confidence and resilience.

Dr. Korach will be teaching the Parenting Minds program on four consecutive Tuesdays—
October 4, 11, 18, and 25.

This year, a daytime and an evening session will be offered.

Daytime Sessions:  9:15-11:15 a.m. in the District Office Staff Development Room

Evening Sessions:   7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Lake Oswego High School Cafeteria

If you are interested in learning more, please come to the

Parenting Minds Parent Orientation Meeting

Tuesday, September 27

7:00-7:30 p.m.

Lake Oswego High School Library

Parents will have an opportunity to sign up for the program at that time.
