News & Event Headlines

Phase IV staffing and program recommendations, Parts I & 2, were approved by the School Board on July 14, including updated recommendation regarding secondary Chinese language program.

Two half-day Kindergarten Spanish Immersion classes will be offered during the 2010-11 school year. Applications are due July 9. Details

The School Board recently completed its evaluation of the superintendent's performance, and has offered Dr. Korach an extension of his contract through 2012-13. Details

Swim lessons will be available at the Lake Grove Swim Park for two week sessions all summer. Details

The district is completing energy- efficient lighting improvement projects  funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Details

The Lake Oswego School District welcomes tuition students from outside its boundaries. Details

Congratulations to the 16 seniors who have been named National Merit Finalists based on their outstanding academic achievement. This honor is awarded to less than one percent of the nation's graduating seniors. News Release

Lake Oswego and Lakeridge high schools have been named Silver Medal Schools by US News & World Report in its annual ranking of America's Best High Schools. Of the 18,743 public high schools analyzed, 3% were named Gold or Silver Medal Schools. Read Story

For the third consecutive year, all 13 Lake Oswego schools have received the highest rating on Oregon state report cards. Details

2009 SAT scores indicate that the LOSD composite score of 1720 increased by 42 points over last year. Details
