Clackamas County has added two additional H1N1 vaccination clinics at LOHS: Feb. 23 and 24, 3:30-7:00 p.m. These clinics are open to the Lake Oswego community and will also serve as the opportunity for children under 10 to receive their second dose. Details

Strategic planning efforts to address funding challenges for 2010-11 are underway. Information is available online, including an overview of key financial factors and an initial framework for teaching staff reductions.

Plans are being developed to replace the wading pool at the Lake Grove Swim Park to comply with new water quality and health standards, including a supplemental budget hearing with the Lake Oswego School Board on Feb. 8 Details

Students from Lake Oswego High School created a video to encourage participation in Poetry Out Loud, a national recitation contest sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and The Poetry Foundation. Watch

Lake Oswego and Lakeridge high schools have been named Silver Medal Schools by US News & World Report in its annual ranking of America's Best High Schools. Of the 18,743 public high schools analyzed, 3% were named Gold or Silver Medal Schools. Read Story

For the third consecutive year, all 13 Lake Oswego schools have received the highest rating on Oregon state report cards. Details

2009 SAT scores indicate that the LOSD composite score of 1720 increased by 42 points over last year. Details

Congratulations to LOHS Track and Cross Country coach Eric Lider, who has received the Governor's 2009 Fitness Leadership Award in recognition of his many years of dedication to creating opportunities for youth and community health.
